Isaiah 53:5 KJV, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.”
The promise of Isaiah 53:5 remains even when God say, “My grace is sufficient for you?
Are you experiencing, as if, everything in you now, is in weakness, brokenness, weariness?
When Saul, who became Paul, begged God to take away his “thorn in the flesh” which many believed was a disease in the eye, God’s response was, “And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness…” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Grace, to my understanding is the more than enough to Paul. It is by grace that we are saved, aren’t we?
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (2 Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV).
“But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me” (1 Cor. 15:10).
My understanding is that God did not leave Paul in a crippled state. Truly, God’s grace is always sufficient. Why? Because God’s power is at its greatest and made perfect when we are at our weakest, when we are in brokenness, when we are in weariness.
Three times, God’s response: “My grace is sufficient for you.”
Because with His grace, we are overcomers, more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:37-39).
Are you in a decision making to choose? God’s power is made perfect in weakness, brokenness, in weariness because God manifests that God and only God, the Creator of all things seen and unseen, the source of all wealth and power, can save, rescue or deliver and bring you out from whatever situation you or we are now, for God’s grace is sufficient to do all of these things. Always, it is by His grace.
For whatever, it is only by God’s Grace which is our more than enough!
