Of Marcos, Aquino, Lee Kwan Yew & the Queen

I read the news today, oh boy!

Now, that the Aquino succession from Benigno Aquino Sr to Ninoy to Noynoy that includes the mother Cory are being or have been exposed, the Marcos, continuous stay in power is equally being the talk of the town of seemingly forever in power.

Of course, there is no such thing as forever, except that of God’s Word which talks of forever condemnation and forever rejoice to the Lord.

As we all know, the Singapore Minister’s idol, from whom he learned much, was the strong man Marcos. Lee Kwan Yew chose to step down as Prime Minister of Singapore in 1990. He served as Senior Minister under his successor, Go Choc Tong until 2004, then as Minister Mentor (an advisory post) until 2011 under his son Lee Hsien Loong. In total Lee, the father, held successive ministerial positions for 56 years. How long will Loong, the Minister’s son will stay in power? Is it wrong to continue serving his country as the current Prime Minister? Look at Singapore, who followed the Marcos backfilling of the seas in what we now call breakwater and there stands the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Singapore that was just a small island has become a tourist hide away.

How about a glance, as well, to Ilocos Norte? Compare its progress to the other provinces. How about performances of the past presidents in successions combined from Cory, FVR, Joseph Estrada, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Benigno Aquino 111?  My point here is that the Marcos son, not only have the performance to show, but they also have that strong desire, to prove that their father and Marcos as a name is not what many have wrongly believed to be. The Marcos children badly desires that, for sure.

Great Britain has been a great country and continue to be one with the succession of their Queens and princes and dukes who all belong to the same bloodline.

Of all the international cases of the Marcos they allegedly have not lost any. This excites me, therefore, of the said words that Marcos the father would like to donate through his son, deposited wealth in Europe, that hopefully will bring back the Philippines up there in the limelight. It remains to be seen, though, if Marcos the son, can enter the palace by the eye of the needle. May God the Almighty bless the Philippines.
