Philosophy of Half Truth is Vain Deceit

Nice that whenever we post or share Scriptures we too immediately receive Bible verses and Scriptures. HOWEVER, It makes me wonder if there’s still time for the sender and the receiver to meditate on them.
Because of this I chose to stop sending to those who “in a minute or second” will give back Scriptures which sometimes one after the other that gives me no time to “savor” the spiritual food.
Worst is that we are fond to copy-paste philosophies mixed with biblical verse without fully understanding deeper. In the subject of writing and preparing sermons this has been warned as well.
It is significant, therefore, that the Word warns us to beware of philosophy. “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceipt, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ” (Colossians 2:8).
Dictionary defines philosopphy as the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge. The word philosophy simply means love of wisdom, whether, the philosophy is old school or modern. .
Example: Satisfaction is only through Jesus. A very correct statement But to say that all the others do not give satisfaction as the second statement makes wrong for all and everything are God given.
It is just like praying is good but what makes it not good is when the praying is wrong. It is okay for the devil that we pray as long as we pray to the wrong person. Prayer is praying to God, hence, to God alone we should pray. By this, the devil trembles in fear.
Mixing philosophies to Scriptures is false wisdom. It derives in type from the tree of knowledge through the ain deceipt of Satan, believng that the philosophy makes one wise, that “your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods” (Genesis 2:17; 3:5-6) It has “indeed a shew of wisdom” (Colossians 2:23) but “the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God” (1 Corinthians 3:19) and eventually “all the wisdom of this world…of the princes of this world will come to nought” (1 Cor. 2:6).
In Christ, are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3).
The Lord Christ Jesus is “the truth” (John 14:6), and is both “the power of God” and the wisdom of God” (1 Cor 1:24).
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God…and it shall be given him” (James 1:5).
THEREFORE, we need never waste our God given time on human philosophy. Be content with God’s Word!
