Mary The Surrogate Mother – Chapter 6

MARY, THE SURROGATE MOTHER

Now, let us try to relate these scientific facts to the Virgin Birth of Christ Jesus by Mary.

Why Virgin Birth?

Through Mary, Jesus Christ came into the stream of human life without the mediation of an earthly father, born not, as a result, of sexual intercourse but as, a result of, supernatural “overshadowing” of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35).

Mary is a “gestational surrogate mother” and has no genetic connection to the Son whom she gave birth. By God’s miracle, with the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit, what was placed in Mary’s womb was already supernaturally completed and fertilized. All she needed to do was to carry the baby to term and be the birth mother, the surrogate mother.

The virgin birth attests to the Omnipotent Grace and Creative Freedom of God. It achieves the requirement of the doctrine of salvation (Soteriology) to establish God’s organic connection with mankind and His radical discontinuity with it.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). All men from Adam to this day, including you and me and Mary, are born with Adam’s sin (Romans 5:12). Mary acknowledge herself as a maidservant of the Lord and in need of a Savior in God (Luke 1:46-48).

Jesus who was conceived in Mary was from the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:16, 18:25, Luke 1:31-35). It is not Mary’s ovum or egg cell which was fertilized by the Holy Spirit. Jesus was conceived ‘from’ the Holy Spirit, so, Jesus received no chromosomes nor genes from Mary.

As mentioned earlier, inside the womb, the mother contributes no blood at all to the developing embryo. Hence no blood of Mary is in Christ Jesus. God’s own blood is in Jesus. It is the same blood with whom God purchased His Church through Jesus the Christ (Acts 20:28); (Romans 5:9).

Mary’s blood and genes were not in Christ Jesus or else, Jesus should have inherited the sinful nature of man, the original sin from Adam. God prepared the body of Jesus whereby Jesus could be human according to the flesh and yet not have the blood of sinful humanity (Hebrews 10:5; 1 John 4:2). Although, Jesus received His body nourishment from a sinful race, He is still sinless because sinful blood was not in His body (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 John 3:5; 1 Peter 2:21-22). That was the problem solved by the virgin birth. Mary gave birth of Him but the Holy Spirit conceived of Him.

If God can say, let there be light and there was light, if He can put life in the barren wombs of very old in age Sarah, Elizabeth, and the others, God gave His Only Begotten Son as a Sinless Man to save us all mankind from sin by His own will and design.

Mary was chosen by God as a vessel to give birth to Jesus when He manifested Himself in the flesh (Jesus as Man). Let it be clarified loud and clear that Mary as the mother of Jesus was and is not “being in the form of and equal with God” (Jesus as God) Philippians 2:5-8; 1 Timothy 3:16.

Mary was a creation of God, the Creator. Even before Mary or her ancestors, the Davidic descendancy through David’s son, Nathan, were born, God already existed because God is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End (Eternity) Revelation 1:8, 21:6, 22:13.

Hence, it could not be that God came from a mother. Jesus co-existed with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit from the very beginning even before the creation of the world (John 1:1-3,14; 17:5).

Mary is the mother of Jesus as Man but Mary’s motherhood as Man is confined strictly to the human existence of Jesus and goes no further.

Therefore, although Jesus Christ is truly God (Titus 2:13), Mary is not the mother of God and is not sinless (Luke 1:47). Let God be God in solving how a sinless Christ Jesus will be born by a sinful Mary as the mother of Jesus.

We acknowledge Mary as blessed among women and who has found favor with God (Luke 1:28, 30). We respect Mary for her obedience to be instrumental in fulfilling some of God’s greatest promises to bring forth a Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit, who was to be the Savior of the world (Matthew 1:20-21; John 4:42).

Mary, as the First Surrogate Mother, by Divine Surrogacy, has solved the mystery of the virgin birth, eliminating the False Man-Made Theories of mother of god, immaculately conceived Mary, sinless Mary, and etc.

CONCLUSION

Jesus Christ was a Spiritual Miracle whose entrance into humanity necessitated a Physical Miracle through God’s Science revealed in His own time. Faith in the miracle of the virgin birth still serves as a covenant touchstone of faith in the mystery of God en-fleshed.
