The Philippines Was Cursed. Rebuke It!

Coming from being the number two most progressive country in Asia next to Japan, how come the Philippines which was the second strongest in economy and military is now next from the bottom in Asia status?

What’s happening, that after being fooled, in joining the overthrowing of the best Philippine president ever, there was no concrete evidence of improvement seen, from the succession of next presidents, except those of improvised alleged corruptions?

Could this be an effect of a curse that was uttered seventeen years less to a century ago? Do you believe in the power of the tongue?

August is the “cruelest month,” according to a writer Adrian Cristobal, since it was the month, the man in the Pph500 paper money was gunned down, the well scripted, political assassination that brought down a regime, a regime, which has placed the country Philippines to a well respected country in the world.

Incidentally, this month of August, the Philippines celebrate the “Buwan Ng Wika” (Philippine Language Month) in honor of the first president when the Philippines was still a commonwealth, who was born August 19. Manuel Luis Quezon, as president, would later say, “I prefer to see the Philippines run like hell by Filipinos than run like heaven by Americans.”

Was the late president Manuel Quezon, aware or without knowing made a curse or prophesy when he issued the statement three decades and more than half a century ago? Or was the proud Manuel L. Quezon only hyperbolical then?

So, how is the Philippines now?

A certain Atty. Chong just exposed how bad the Philippine Commission on Election is with its 2016 election machines giving result a day ahead before the actual elections. Whew!

By extravagant exaggeration, the Philippines which was number two to Japan in Asia, economically, militarily and politically, during Marcos’ era, has never recovered after the yellow politics took over. Improvements continue to mere just wanting for there was never something new to be proud of ever since.

The huge vast of land for the retiring soldiers was sold by a president. Not only that, the Philippine National Steel and the Filipino Oil were all sold by the same man next president who accordingly was a relative of the overthrown president. The overthrown president, who made the Philippines so famous, that he used to sit with the world leaders of developed countries, unlike today, that a Philippine president is so far from the who’s who world leaders.

At the present time, the yellows are saying that the current leadership “is using Drugs War to kill opponents,” while seemingly Drugs lordship were on the liberals during their term of leadership which allegedly explains why a certain lady senator who was the Justice Secretary then is now serving term in the national jail. A former congressman from the north believed that the current leadership”is in the process of setting up a fascist dictatorship.” while the president is opening peace talks with the communist leaning New Peoples Party, the armed force of the Philippine Communist Party, whose leaderships, the former, was the driver of the deceased yellow lady president, and the latter was a very good friend of the late senator who then during my college days were visiting schools and universities in Metro Manila indoctrinating about nationalism through communism. In fact, the two, who were captured and arrested, were immediately and the first to be released when she became president.

How can we explain the change of election numbers for VP candidates that took place while everybody was in slumber?

At least, it looks like, safe now, to arrive in the country of my birth from airport to the province and back to international. No more “laglag bala.”

However, this today’s president of the Philippines, although, doing good in performance, is seemingly, disrespectful of the faith of others. Anybody, who knows, where are we going to?

I would say, he is far better, compared to the last president’s dramatic acts! But, it is hair raising, that the former lady president (not the deceased, of course) is now the Speaker of the House. Calm me, if you may, please.

We all know that a curse is a calling down of harm upon one, an affliction or causing pain while prophesy is a prediction and MLQ then, I would like to believe, only uttered those seemingly prophetic cursing words, out of anger and desperation, in his sincere quest for Philippine Independence from the Americans.

What has been said is said, as the Filipinos of today are fond of saying, “careful to what you wish for.”

The Word of God says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21 KJV).

Quezon then was just hyperbolic, I would like to presume. However, Matthew 12:36-37 says, with Jesus speaking, “But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every ‘careless’ word they have spoken. For by your words, you will be acquitted, and by your words, you will be condemned.”

It may be true, that there was a different situation in the time of Quezon for only those not well educated and low skilled Filipinos then went to America to seek work. The purchasing power of the Philippine peso then was one to one to the US Dollar which is very far compared to the present which is one dollar to more or less Php50, going up or going down.

Look at the families of these Filipino-Americans now are, as to, how blessed are they.

Manuel Luis Molina Quezon, (?) is said, during his presidency, to have served only 200 Filipino families, (?) the ruling elite or oligarchy who owned and controlled the business in the Philippines then. However, he became a popular hero when he angrily attacked the alleged racist policies of then American Governor General Leonard Wood, with Quezon’s declaration that he preferred, “a government run like hell by Filipinos than a government run like heaven by Americans.”

We are not here to judge Quezon for Jesus says in Matthew 7:1, “Do not judge or you too will be judged.” But, as Christians, we must not just accept MLQ’s statement. Instead, rebuke it!

Rebuke, not because we want our beloved Philippine government be run by Americans or by Chinese or any aliens at this point of time. But rebuke the words of Quezon that might have become a bondage to the Philippines and all resident Filipinos. This writer is rebuking our long dead president in prayers to the Lord God Almighty and continuously praying that the Philippines will be run by God fearing Filipinos “who are quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that GOD desires” James 1:19-20.

I myself, prays, that God will teach and bless me and everyone of us with speech that is with grace, seasoned with salt, so that we may know how to answer respond to man, people and others. Colossians 4:6.

Psalm 127:1, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” The Philippines can still be healed as revealed in 2 Chronicles 7:14, God gave us the formula. “If My people which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turned from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their lands.”
