John 21:21-22 NIV, “When Peter saw him, he asked “Lord, what about him?” Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You Must Follow Me.”
In the story above is about Peter who was talking to the Christ Jesus. When Peter look back, he saw John the beloved following Jesus, and Peter asked, what about him? Jesus’ reply? “…what is that to you? You must follow Me.
As Christians, we are supposed to be Followers of Christ, that’s it.
We don’t need to play God and mind others ministry or even presume kind of life. Many of us are like that and God knows. This is why Jesus said “Do Not Judge or You Will Be Judged the same way you have judged.
We even act to be more knowledgeable than the Christ for we insist on knowing when is the exact time date the Son is coming back when it was clear when Jesus says, “No one knows except the Father.”
Actually, i was on the same page as these holier than though then. And a pastor verbally scolded me. “I am answerable to God,” was his response to my interference.
As if Jesus was telling me, “what is that to you?” You must follow Me.”
Yes, the focus should be on being a follower of Christ. Are we abiding Him and His words abide in us?
As holier than thou, we are committing the Sin of Pride, sin committed in our thoughts, sin committed in our words, and sin committed in our deeds deeds, the sin of Lucifer. As simple as that.
If that is the case, can we just fix our eyes unto Christ Jesus, the Author and Perfecter Of Our Faith!
